The Minnesota Freeze will be celebrating the 2011 season at our annual end-of-year awards banquet, Best and Fairest night.   This is a celebration of our club's successes, an opportunity to close the season with good food, drink, and friendship. Several season and national tournament awards will be handed out. Hope to see every player there. Friends and family are welcome.

Looks like the MN Revos are doing well down under.  All five have been voted best on ground in at least one game.  As far as I can see they are  3-0, with wins against Canada, Peace Team, and Japan.  Keep the wins coming!

Hey, fellas.  I mentioned in an e-mail earlier this offseason that I may have some interested recruits here in Winona, MN.  I'm currently in the market for grounds that would be suitable for a workshop to show these guys what footy's all about.
However, it would be nice to know if anyone has an interest in coming down either after a Saturday session or in lieu of one to help me recruit these by it not just being me showing them the ropes. Read more »

In order to create a sense of excitement for the 2011 MN Freeze season we’ll be hosting a team BBQ on the day of the season kick-off. We will also be having an Auskick clinic for any kids that come along immediately following training. This will set a great tone for new players who come out on the day, and it will be a great opportunity to invite the new women’s team, family members, kids, friends, past players, and potential players to come along, catch the end of our first training, and to eat some food with everyone in the club. Dear MN Freeze,
 
For those who are interested, there will be a bunch of us having a kick on Saturday at 10:00am on the northwest corner of Lake Calhoun at the la crosse fields. Let's take advantage of this weather and get some long missed time kicking the footy around. (This is all dependent on if there is snow by Saturday)

With less than 4 weeks until National's we need to ramp up our trainings a little. What I propose is changing up Wednesday trainings to include a Metro match. This match would consist of 2 x 20 halves (just like National's) with people playing their allocated positions (or as close as possible).
